Cocoa beans are native to parts of Central and South America. An antioxidant powerhouse, a source of natural antioxidants that are found in cocoa beans (the same kinds found in real, dark chocolate, Cocoa butter helps fight off free-radical damage to the skin. Free radicals can cause skin aging, dark patches, and dull skin. It is reputed to reduce stretch marks and scars. High in fatty acids, it is a perfect ingredient to be used for moisturising and hydrating the skin.

The cocoa seeds, dried, roasted and pressed, the vegetable fat is extracted from the beans. This fat is what we know as chocolate liquor. The fat removed from the liquor goes through high pressure to separate the cocoa butter and cocoa powder. It is then into a creamy coloured cocoa butter, is added to create the body butter, smooth and rich…..and smells like chocolate too!
